Hi Bodoc! My name is Shrev, and I’m the Fandom Wiki Manager for RollerCoaster Tycoon. I am here to help the community and be a liaison to full-time Fandom staff. If you ever have a question or issue relating to the wiki, editing, styling, infoboxes, templates, etc., please feel free to contact me on my wall, or on Discord at Shrev64#0089.
I just read the Fandom Wiki Manager blog post. There, it says "[wiki managers] are part-time staff members." and I'm just wondering, do they get paid for that? Or is all staff only voluntary?
I'm thinking about becoming an admin/bureaucrat on an orphaned TV show wikia. Orphaned because nobody edited it for over one year(!) and I want to re-design some of it. It was barely ever worked on besides the few pages that were made after the foundation. Could I ask you arising questions or are you not responsible for shows? Could I ask you about the prerequisites for becoming an admin on an orphaned wiki?
Here, the most complex editing and designing is made by Larry98, our bureaucrat. Just to let you know.
Oh, my request with the Competitions for 1 and 2 are like. The link to 2. The original place to download the Ultimate Winners for RCT2. The link is dead. The file won't fully download. RCT1 hasn't had that problem as I haven't downloaded all of them yet but it probably does or will at some point. It's just never reliable to use the Wayback Machine as the one spot to have valuable downloads at. The links break over time.
Chris Sawyers Tracks stuff. I have some of the pictures of the tracks that were posted for a couple of sets. Hoping to at some point have all of them on here with the official track pics that came with them.
I don't really understand what you wrote in the first paragraph. Please be more precise, thanks. We used the Wayback machine page because a) we don't want to infringe possible copyright (so no re-release of the tracks from the official page on this wiki directly) and b) I don't know another webpage to link to where the designs were published with the authors' consent.
Regarding the second, this surely is a missing thing in this wiki. Whoever wants can create an article with the trackpacks and individual tracks along with pictures.
Dude, this Rio movie will be creating by 20th Century Fox Animation & Blue Sky Studios. The four main characters are Mario, Luigi, Blu & Jewel.
It’s Jewel’s Birthday at Kentucky Kingdom. The gangs have to buy tickets to get in the park. But, Bowser crashes in with Nigel & Gabi. And they break the law and Mario called the security guard. The guests runs for their lives during Bowser’s Terror Attack at Kentucky Kingdom. While Kentucky Kingdom closed for Terror Attack, Blu has an idea and they left the park. And Nico, Pedro, and Rafael are trying to takeover Bowser.
More Ideas: The terror attack was a worst part for Jewel. Eduardo called Mario and SMG4. His sister, Mimi, died in a heart attack. And they went to another location for a free space to build a park with RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic. Then they built an amusement park in their own land without money. During the Opening Ceremony of Jewel’s new amusement park (Blue Macaws Park), Mario and Luigi were drinking wines and liquors. Nico, Pedro, Mario & Jewel sings Fireflies (by Owl City) after a cutting ceremony. And Blu lets the assistant keep an eye on Blue Macaws Park while they go to Mimi’s memorial ceremony.
I’m out of Ideas for now, Bodoc Calado. Tell me your ideas for the movie.
I see you check and repair the walkthoughs I written, thank you for it. You nearly checked all of them already. - however I noticed a problem at "Insect World" where the text what was "Giga Coaster" turned to "MediaWiki:Badtitletext" and the link goes to nowhere. And I think I seen some tiny-minor things I wasn't sure about, like orangutan written as orang-utan (though I guess it's correct both ways?)
By the way, how do you upload a picture into the infobox? I tried it but couldn't do it.
Also. I was looking around the wiki and noticed this "ride exchange" thing. what is that exactly? I understood it like one uploads the coasters he/she made to the wiki, so others could download it. is it like that? I was wondering whether to upload the coasters and stuff I made in-game, as for one, coasters I used in the scenarios, as well as some coasters and other rides I created in sandbox/custom scenario just for fun (including a very few that were more or less inspired by the rides used to be in the "Vidámpark" the amusement park that used to be in Budapest, Hungary. (I live in Budapest.) That amusement park, according to some "top 10 oldest amusement parks in the world" used to be the 3rd oldest. It closed a few years ago and the Budapest Zoo next to it got its land. Most of the rides got sold or demolished, a kinda sad story... anyway, the other time I was playing around trying to re-design some of the rides, though in the end, they're rather just some "artist's impression" not resembling the original rides as much both because I don't remember exactly either, and because the lack of certain elements in-game (although I used some costom scenery objects I downloaded for some of them.) Anyway, I wonder if ride exchange is about uploading rides, and if to upload these rides I made or not?
If you see an obvious mistake an editor made, like in Insect World, and you know what should be written there instead, always go ahead and correct it. I even encourage everyone to do so as it takes less effort for everyone and it makes our wiki better sooner.
Orang-utans seemed better readable to me but both spellings are correct.
For pictures in infoboxes, just replace the placeholder.jpg in the line |pic=Placeholder.JPG with the correct file name. In Visual Editor, type it in the pic field.
Yes, the Ride Exchange is what you think it is and anyone can participate. I didn't, so far. But there are instructions and information on our wiki. If you have any questions you could ask Androgeos Exeunt who was active a short time ago. If to upload your own rides or not, is totally up to you, of course.
PS: Do I suppose right that long sentences are typical for Hungarian? :D
All right. It was just that I had no idea how that problem came to existence, and so whether to repair it, and if yes, then how? - like just delete the weird word and write again?
Yeah, I tried that with pictures, I think, but it didn't worked. Maybe I was just doing something wrong.
All right. I read the basics about it. I'll think about whether to upload them or not.
Hmm... dunno XD I don't think we would use much longer sentences than English, but maybe. then it also can be it's just how I tend to write - like adding a bunch of side info and stuff). But why do you ask? Like which sentences were really long?
