In Real Life[]
Inverted Impulse coasters are produced by Intamin AG. There are currently seven installations worldwide. Two main track layouts exist, although one Impulse coaster with a custom layout exists, that being Flash: Vertical Velocity at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. The first has a twisted front spike and a straight rear spike of the same height, with certain models having a holding brake on the rear spike. One example of this first design is Vertical Velocity at Six Flags Great America. The second design has two twisted spikes and no holding brake. Currently, the only examples are the defunct Wicked Twister at Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio and Legendary Twin Dragon in China's Chongqing Sunac Land. Only one twin straight spike variant existed as Liner Gale at Tokyo Dome City, which operated until 2010.
