Rodo Park Magic Park
I've always been a big fan of the RollerCoaster Tycoon games. When I first played the RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 , I was hooked and I loved the sequels (especially the second game). It would be nice to have an Rodo Park game on the Playstation 4 , Xbox One , PC/CD , Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch. I would like this to be a collaboration between Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft and Atari, along with help from the creator of the series, Chris Sawyer.

Anyone have trouble with glitched-out badges such as the daily ones?
As if the header didn't convice you enough, these daily badges have a nasty glitch where it will sometimes reset, even if you do meet the requirements. Also, the lack of a notification bar claiming "Hurry and get your edit in!", doesn't help matters either.
Of course, nobody will even notice this blog because of how quiet the wiki is in general. Screw this (yeah, like I'm going to work for another whole month to get my badge).
Favorite Roller Coaster Type in RCT?
Anyone have a personal favorite Roller Coaster in the series?

Showing interest in a project park?
I'm starting to make a project park with some friends and would like some people who are in the know to help out making this park. If you are interested, drop me a message, and I'll post pictures as it goes on.

My Annual RCT playthrough
Every summer (when I'm not in school) since about 2006 I have loaded up Roller Coaster Tycoon or Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 and played it until I get bored or school starts again. Last year it was Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. This summer I am attempting to get through all of the Loopy Landscapes expansion pack. I have currently beaten 7 out of the 30 parks, having beaten Vertigo Views earlier today. I know I have a long way to go, and I have only ever made it to Wacky Warren. But I am now past that, so I have motivation to finish my goal! I still have about a month and a half until I go back to school, so the clock is ticking! I am continuing my quest tomorrow when I take on Big Pier 2. I have unlocked all parks before (and including) Crazy Crate…
New RCT 1 scenarios!
I am currently working on a small campaign for RCT 1 (LL), consisting of 6-10 scenarios (yet to be determinded). The first two are already done and you are invited to join a public playtesting, disguised as story: Clinch in den Coaster Castles
Even if you can't read german, there's a lot of pictures teasing the handmade landscape and my attempt to beat my own scenario. :)
About my scenarios: Even though Loopy Landscapes already offered a lot of different goals and obstacles, I really tried to come up with some new ones (or new combinations of already used ones). I also use handcrafted landscapes and will use the whole variety of imagination and design tools I have available (and try to avoid that the scenarios look like an exploded paint fac…
General Scenario Guide
Draft of a new page to reduce redundancy in scenario guides.
- 1 General
- 2 Research
- 3 Creating good rides
- 4 Attracting and keeping more guests
- The first step in a new park is to pause the game and have a look on your park. You can set up a few things as long as the game is paused and get a general overview.
- Many scenarios already have prebuilt paths. Be sure to block off unused paths so your guests don't get lost. Avoid long walks and dead ends, so your guests don't have to wander around aimlessly.
- Also check for Path Items to make sure there are enough benches (every 3-5 tiles) and litter bins (every 10-12 tiles).
- You need enough Staff to keep your park running and clean. Set patrol areas to coordinate your handymen, while mechanics are usually good to…
Matt's Guide To The Wiki
It's always great to have new people help out on the RollerCoaster Tycoon Wiki, and we are always happy when new people join the community. It makes it easier for everyone if you have a user account, and this is the first thing I suggest you do. Signing up lets you track your contributions, and it makes it easier for people to communicate with you. You also become eligible for awards. When you join the wiki, the first thing you should do is edit your user page.
A blank user page is created when you sign up for an account. Your user name in page histories, recent changes, and your signature will be linked to this page, so people may click on these to find out more about you.
There is no set requirement for what is displayed on your User Page-…
The Logo
As everyone would have realized, I changed the monobook logo. The monthly poll asks which one you like better, and at the end of the month, I will change it to whatever the majority vote is. I thought I would explain the new one though, and show both of them so you can make a comparison.
The random wood plank thing is there to cover up the big 2. That picture is from the box art of RCT2, and I couldn't think of a way to get rid of it without making it look crappy. I chose that because of the blue around the RollerCoaster part and the red circle. On the old logo it was black. I have both images saved on my computer, so any suggestions to improve either one of them will be made.
Wiki Updates - July 2010
I hope to make this blog a semi-regular feature on this wiki, detailing the big and small changes over time. This month, there are three developments to highlight.
- 1 Manual of Style
- 2 Wiki Policies
- 3 New Templates/Template Changes
- 3.1 Stubs
- 4 New Logo voting
- 5 Useful Links
About a week ago, the Manual of Style (MoS) was made public. This manual should be used as a guide for Wiki editing, to ensure that the pages on this wiki appear similar and are orderly and present information effectively. You can raise questions or issues, or propose changes to the MoS by visiting the manual's discussion page. New and old editors alike should familiarize themselves with the rules and suggestions in the MoS, so that the Wiki can adopt a clean and uniform style.

Recent Activity
Hi, and thanks for reading this!
I want to update readers and common visitors to this wiki as to my activities over the past few days. I haven't been here very long, but I've noticed quite quickly a lack of organization. This is a problem because if information is not properly organized, it's of little use to people looking for info, and it's difficult for editors to fix problems, since they might not know where to look. Therefore, I've done a bit of work regarding templates and categories. Here's a brief overview: 1 I created the templates - they fulfill similar functions, in that they both highlight statements that need to be proven - a confirm tag requests that other members of the community state whether a stated fact is correct; the f…
Ride Names?
I'm sure there's a point in everyone's park running career that they start running out of creative and/or awesome names for your Rollercoasters and other rides, so let's make this a community effort to come up with an extensive list of rides!!!
I'll start 'er off:
- Moscow Mauler
- Breakout
- Evolution
- The Eye Of The Storm

Theme Park Contest
For all those with a creative hand at RollerCoaster Tycoon, I challenge you to a theme park design competition. Due to limitations, I must ban RCT3 parks, sorry for that.
Award points will be given for creativity, scenery placement and ride design.
That means a top score of 15 can be achieved.
To make things more fair, RCT and RCT2 entries will be judged seperately.
Some Tips:
- To get a high score in creativity, give your park a scenario (that isn't too easy/hard)
- Give your park themed area(s) to score high.
- Have some custom rides, make it interesting.
PLEASE NOTE: Each entrant may enter no more than TWO parks.
-Matt 20 1
Any idea's of where the entries can be posted?
